Ok that worked (sort of), thanks! I also noticed that I had a typo in the above that probably wasn't helping either.
Your kind advice above turns the select box into a list of the charities names ok, but when I create a campaign having selected a charity the controller doesn't save the charity_id as the foreign key in the campaigns table anymore. How do I use the information in the select box to get the charities id and save it instead of the name.
