If you want pretty urls (mod_rewrite), take a look at and install isapi_rewrite, its not opensource nor freeware, but i think theres a 'light' version around, but im not sure, it was already installed at our windows based -- ugh -- hosting provider. The later versions are supposed to be compatible with mod_rewrite's syntax.
