Basic Cheese Cake
Prep Time- 25 Minutes
Serves 10
1 Package Honey Graham Crakers
1 Tbs Sugar
1/2 Stick Unsalted Butter
3 8 oz. pkgs Cream Cheese
1 Cup Sugar
1/4 Tsp Real Vanilla Flavoring
3 Large Eggs
IMPORTANT! Bring cream cheese and eggs
to room temperature.
Crust:
Crush 1 package of honey graham crackers
and combine with 1 TBS of sugar and 1/2
stick butter in bowl.
Fold together until crackers are saturated
with butter.
Press into a 9" spring form pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F or until edges of
crust turn brown.
Set out to cool.
Batter:
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese at
medium speed for 1 minute.
Add 1/4 cup of sugar at a time, beat
for 30 seconds.
Stop mixer and scrap sides of bowl.
Add vanilla and beat 30 seconds.
On medium speed add eggs one at a time.
Beat for 30 seconds.
Stop mixer and scrap sides of bowl.
Beat for 30 seconds.
Pour batter into prepared curst and place
in center of oven.
Bake at 300 degrees F for 38 minutes and
turn oven off.
Leave in oven for one hour (or longer).
Take out and run a knife around the edge
of cake, gently release the pan and close
oven door again.
Let cool at least another 30 minutes before
covering and placing in cooler.
WARNING: Two common mistakes: cream cheese
and eggs not a room temperature and over
beating the batter.
