Magnolia's Traditional Vanilla Cake

Very fluffy and moist cross between 
a yellow cake and sponge cake.

1 1/2 cup self-rising flour
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    2 cup sugar
    4 large eggs, room temp
    1 cup milk, room temp
    1 tsp vanilla

Oven preheated to 350 degrees F.

Grease and flour 3-9x2 in round cake pans, 
then line bottom with parchment or wax paper.

Sift flours together.  Set aside.

On medium speed of mixer cream butter until 
smooth.  

Add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy, 
about 3 minutes.  

Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after 
each addition.  

Add the flour in 3 parts alternately with 
milk and vanilla just until blended.  

Scrape sides of bowl well, making sure 
incorporated.  

Spoon into pans.  

Bake 20-25 miutes.  

Let cool in pan 10min then remove from 
pans and cool completely on wire rack.
