RUSSIAN POUND CAKE


1 lb. butter
10 eggs
8 oz. cream cheese
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. walnuts
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 jar cherries

Cream butter, sugar, and cheese until soft and creamy. Add eggs 2
at a time, beating well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add
vanilla. Pour batter into tube pan or loaf pans. Sprinkle nuts and
cherries. Alternate batter with nuts and cherry mixture ending with
batter on top. Grease and flour pans well.
