Balsamic strawberry pavlovas

 
Preparation Time 10 - 25 minutes
Ingredients (serves 4)
1 x 250g punnet strawberries, washed, hulled, quartered 
2 tsp balsamic vinegar 
2 tbs caster sugar 
125ml (1/2 cup) thickened cream 
4 Pavlova Nests
1.      Place the strawberries in a medium bowl. Add the vinegar and sugar.
Season with pepper. Stir until well combined. Set aside for 15 minutes to
macerate. 
2.      Meanwhile, use a balloon whisk or an electric beater to beat the
cream in a bowl until firm peaks form. 
3.      Place a pavlova nest on each serving plate. Divide the cream and
strawberries evenly among the nests. Drizzle over the syrup. Serve.
