German Cake

Description
Bunt German Cake you can not keep your hands off of.
Ingredients
2 sticks butter or oleo and 1/2 cup shortening OR 1 1/2 cups shortening,
butter or margarine. I prefer 1 1/2 cups shortening
3 cups white sugar
5 eggs
3 cups cake flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups milk
1 TBSP vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 325F degrees. Cream butter and shortening, add sugar.
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, baking
powder, cocoa, and salt. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add
vanilla before the last batch of flour is added. Bake at 325F degrees in
a greased tube pan 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done. You can frost
with coconut pecan filling and frosting. Serve plain or with whipped
cream or whipped topping.
