Yes, I am running Tiger Server.

The first time I tried to compile the software, I used the Xcode tools from a 10.4.7 Server (Universal) DVD with the same error. Thinking it was an issue with the Universal installer not being quite Universal, I formatted the drive, reinstalled Server and Xcode using a 10.4.0 DVD and then used software update to update to 10.4.10. Reinstalled Subversion and downloaded a fresh copy of Calendar Server with the same result.

TIA for any help.

Pat

Subject: [CalendarServer-users] Building Calendar Server
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hello-

I am using an older G4 box as a development server. When trying to
build calendarserver, I am getting this error. Is there a way to
build this on a PPC box?

superman:~/Desktop/superman_files/CalendarServer superman$ ./run -s

Building PyKerberos...
running build
running build_ext
building 'kerberos' extension
gcc -arch ppc -arch i386 -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk -
fno-strict-aliasing -Wno-long-double -no-cpp-precomp -mno-fused-madd -
fno-common -dynamic -DNDEBUG -g -O3 -I/Library/Frameworks/
Python.framework/Versions/2.4/include/python2.4 -c src/kerberos.c -o
build/temp.macosx-10.3-fat-2.4/src/kerberos.o -I/usr/include
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec 'i686-apple-darwin8-
gcc-4.0.0': No such file or directory

Thanks in advance.

I take it you aren't running Tiger?
