That's certainly possible, depending on your authentication structure.
For me, we're tied into our central authentication service so the user
would only have the ONE account.
If you have more control over your accounts, there's no reason not to
go that route, iCal will just treat them as separate calendars.

Looking at iCal client and the command line tool I only see
possibilities to delegate a whole account to somebody.
