Ah. Using the URL caldav://calendar.mydomain.tld:8443/calendars/users/user01 fixes the problem for Thunderbird/Lighting (3.0.4 and 1.0b1). This doesn't fix iCal. I've also tried sunbird 0.9 and 1.0b1 with the above - they get to the second dialogue box ("Create a New Calendar") in which you give the calendar a name and a colour, but pressing the 'Next' button has no effect, at least in the five minutes I've waited. Nothing visible in the Calendar Server log at level 'debug'. John A.
