                 Key: CB-41
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-41
             Project: Apache Callback
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: iOS
            Reporter: Shazron Abdullah

reported at: https://github.com/phonegap/phonegap-iphone/issues/326
by: https://github.com/MarkVaughn

**Expected results:**
I would like to create a Phonegap application, using the
http://www.phonegap.com/start/ guide. I need to create it for retina display
that uses the 640x960px resolution.
**Actual Results:**
Both non-retina and retina simulators present a resolution 320px. Although the
menu interfaces have different resolutions the help Phonegap example file shows
in low resolution. See following screenshot

iPhone non-retina 320px width

iPhone Retina 320px width

iPad at 768px width

Also noticed that when launching the retina simulator the default splash screen
says retina and on the non-retina the splashscreen says non retina. Which is
correct behavior

**How to reproduce**
- Borrow a friends mac who has OSX Lion
- Download Phonegap 1.1 & Xcode 4.2 and iOS5 sdk for lion
- Follow steps in [Phonegap guide](http://www.phonegap.com/start/) EXACTLY <
don't mess with anything other than what the guide says
- See a Hey it's Phonegap message on all 3 simulators
- Notice that both retina and non-retina resolutions are identical
- Go to irc channel for support
- After trying to solve this problem on your own post a bug report on github

Also I'm not ready yet to purchase the Apple developer license for 99 dollars
just to test Phonegap (I'm usually developing for android)
