Matthew Windwer commented on CB-320:
------------------------------------

Is this still something that you guys are planning to at some point on Android
4.0? Main reason being-- when uninstalling an Android app, the files remain on
the sd card, which could cause issues if the user re-installs the app in the
future.

>    Affects Versions: 1.5.0

> According to the release notes for 5.0, this should not be an issue:
> "Prefix URIs for file API with file:/// and persistent storage should never
> point to SD card"
> However, using the following method, my file is still being stored to the SD
> card:
> window.requestFileSystem(LocalFileSystem.PERSISTENT, 0, function(fileSystem) {
>   fileSystem.root.getFile("account.txt", { create: true , exclusive: false },
> function(fileEntry) {
>     fileEntry.file(function(file) {
>       console.log(file); // {"fullPath": "/mnt/sdcard/account.txt",
> "lastModifiedDate": 1331530073000, "name": "account.txt", "size": 64, "type":
> "text/plain"}
>     });
>   });
> });
