Guys, sorry I did not see this discourse sooner but categories is not supported
on Android. It is documented as a quick at:
http://docs.phonegap.com/en/1.7.0/cordova_contacts_contacts.md.html#Contact
You'll also notice that categories is not supported in iOS and only partially
supported in BB.
