Yeah, don't even try to do contras. Heck, when I call a dance for a crowd of non-dancers in AMERICA I don't try to do contras. Get a copy of the New England Dancing Masters "Chimes of Dunkirk." Get the CD and the DVD. Teaching dance to non-dancing adults is a lot like teaching dance to children only the adults don't catch on as fast.

Once you've done a bunch of nights with these dances, and everyone is having a great time, then introduce your first contra, something like Jefferson and Liberty. Build up from there. You want your crowd to feel as though they are going from success to success, and never failure to failure.
