Hi callers, I am preparing to call Paul Balliets contra Summer Sunshine and I have a timing question about the B2. I have copied the entire dance as I have it below. My question is this: It seems that 8 counts of music is too much for walking from one wavy line to another. (I believe that I have other, more modern dances to be sure, that do this in 4). What would you think of adding a balance there with the old neighbors before walking forward to the new neighbors wavy line and balancing with them?
Here is the dance as I have it: (Start in a wavy line of 4, across the set, 1s facing down, 2s facing up) A1 Balance the wave (once - twice might be fun) Neighbor Swing A2 Ladies chain over and back B1 Circle left ¾ Partner Swing B2 Circle left ¾ more to a wavy line [no balance in this version] Walk forward to a new wavy line with new neighbors. Thanks in advance for your comments Rickey Holt, Fremont, NH
