I like the occasional medley, such as the special ones at NEFFA, but  
I do feel ambushed when a caller throws one in at a regular dance. As  
a dancer, I love to get into the groove of the dance, and I love when  
the caller stops calling. Therefore, I hate medleys because I have to  
keep listening to the darn caller for the whole dance and never get  
to reach that non-thinking groove zone.

IMHO, of course.
