Well Chris, it sounds as if you had a real trial by fire...and came through it with new lessons and increased confidence.

What I can offer is only the suggestion that callers think about keeping their dance cards on their computer. Many inkjet printers can print onto 3 X 5 cards and, if you have such a printer, the option shows on your page setup menu. Microsoft Word and probably most word processing programs will work. I use FileMaker Pro for my dance cards.

Besides making your cards easy to update and easy to replace this idea allows you to print out multiple copies of each card. I print out an "emergency dance program" set of cards and keep one in my car glove box. I also keep one in the bag where I carry my dance shoes. This way you are always prepared for an emergency.

Then again...with a set of backup cards you wouldn't have had the benefit of your "trial by fire" experience.

Just a thought.

Regards,
Greg

Hello everyone,

I figured that I better start writing this report right away. Later I might be lazy and leave out some of the experiences from this past weekend. I suspect that this will be another of those long e-mails. Read as much or as little as you care to. For those unfamiliar or new to this list, when I started calling, I would send updates to this list detailing my successes and blunders in the hopes that it would help other new callers. Here are the latest:
