I must apologize to Sargon, because I thought his sentence was ["poussette" does _not_ come from the verb "pousser"] instead of ["poussette" _does_ come from the verb "pousser"], hence my strange answer. He should take pride, however, in the fact that I mentioned the baby carriage last night at one of our Calling Parties right after someone had taught the poussette in "The Physical Snob" (we are learning both contra and English). The crowd went "oooooh!" in a most satisfying way. And Alan, thank you for all you do in helping us contraphiles become anglophiles.
