I've heard fiddler/caller Steve Hickman describe the pivot at the end of the pass through as "turning as a yoke of oxen." That is, use your nearest shoulders as the pivot point and make a 180-degree left turn. I've never taught using that phrase, so I can't offer first-person feedback, but dancers might not take kindly to bovine comparisons.
