Two years ago, we bought a Samsung netbook as a way of running internet radio to our stereo. It was cheap, weighs nothing and has an 8 hour battery life. On the downside, the screen is small. The keyboard is fine for me, but you have long fingers, so I'd test the screen size and the keyboard under calling-like conditions before buying. Can you borrow one from somebody? Lisa Greenleaf
