First, the circle left should be in the B1.
The B1 is:
(8) Circle left 1
(2) Partner gypsy right 1/2
(6) Women gypsy left 1 while men orbit clockwise 1/2 to other side
The timing is tight on this. The partner gypsy could also be thought of as 3/4.
The original A1 on Ted Crane's website is:
A1 (new) Neighbor balance, box the gnat
Men allemande left 1 & 1/2
As noted by others, the B2/A1 transition is poor, as the guy's hand is
still stabilizing his previous neighbor.
What I guess you have is a mis-copied A1 variant. The A1 variant I
have (which has been called by Lynn Ackerson, and I'm guessing she may
have created it) is:
A1 Long lines forward and back
_Men_ allemande left 1 & 1/2
This cleans up the messy transition between B2 and A1.
