I don't know the particular dance you're thinking of, but I've definitely danced the 'hockey stick' move before. It was familiar enough for me to use it in a recent dance I wrote (Sleepwalking: http://dancingwoods.com/dance/?page_id=6#Sleepwalking). -Bronwyn
