When I first started calling square dances, some 50 years ago, I would attend other callers' dances to research my own presentation. i would carry a little notebook in my pocket to make notes. The point is, once you have presented the figure in public, it is no longer within your control. You can only control its being reprinted without proper recognition and permission.
