Tina,

My error.  I haven't called APQ recently and now that I look at them side by
side they are very similar.  The major differences are that APQ is a 5 part
dance and the 5th part is what I always think of as the signature figure of the
dance.  CCP leaves out that part and adds the CA twirl instead.

However, that last part does include the progression - so it is not static.  It
does, however, lack the feature of most 4X4 where the couples change sides with
each other each time thru the dance.

It sounds like the version you have leaves out the last part - and I can
understand why you would not enjoy it as much

What I have is:

B2 is circle 8 all the way around
B3 (or C1 if you prefer) is
turn line inside out left gents lead
-inside out again - wider turn to progress

One thing that I enjoy while calling this dance is that B3 looks chaotic and
you think everyone is lost - but then it all comes together for the A1

Mac

Interesting, Mac. Now I wonder if we have different variations on the
Quadrille, because the only difference I see between that and Coconut Cream Pie
is the added B2 Bal the Ring/CA twirl that allows the dance to continue on in a
contra line formation rather than being static among the same 8 dancers. Would
you post your version?

Tina
