a square through is done along the imagined lines that bound the perimeter of 
the square formed by the 2 couple minor set. A cross trail forms an "x" pattern 
similar to the beginning of a 1/2 figure 8

 square through".
 
 As I understand, cross trails is without hands, and square
 through is with
