Depending on what kind of group you have, it might be easier to teach them "from scratch". Obviously, you could go a lot faster with experienced dancers, but starting fresh -- and telling them they're starting over -- might put them into a more accepting mindset and give you the opportunity to correct any flaws in their previous dancing.
