I had forgotten yet another welcome screen we've created, the one for Krita

I really like that one! It might be a bit too colorful for other Calligra apps,
but it looks really sleek and professional. Who did this? That person should
definitely work on the welcome screen

The interaction design was done by Arjen Hiemstra, the graphical fit and finish
by Timothee Giet.

Are you still in touch with Timothee? Do you think he might help us with a
welcome screen for "classic" Calligra apps as well?

Sure! He's around all the time on the kimageshop mailing list and #krita :-)

Good to know! So my suggested approach would be:
- Skip the topic for the Week of Polish because it is too big for that
- Do some interaction design on a new welcome screen (I think we're already quite far with Jaroslaw's ideas and the Krita Sketch mockup)
- Ask Timothee to do visual design
- Implement it in QML for all major applications (except maybe for Kexi since it already has a relatively new welcome screen) in the 2.7 development cycle
- Ship it with 2.7

I think this is quite important for the user experience, but of course I can't dictate your priorities ;)

Cheers,
Thomas
