I am exactly in your situation, apart ftom using Suse 10.2 Incoming gatewayed TO T38 faxes are received OK
Outgoing gatewayed FROM T38 faxes are not sent. Immediatly After dialing and being answered, the fax machine connected to the ATA continue saying "calling": you can ear only once a little handshaking sound. After about 1 minute, it gives up. I tried to post 2 weeks ago with no answer. I tried again 2 days ago, adding a lot of debug messages in order to let compare the differences between incoming (OK) faxes and outgoing (KO), but the message was refused by the list becouse it was too big. (Message body is too big: 58946 bytes with a limit of 40 KB) I was sent a message saying that or my message would be approved or I would have back a failing message from list admin, but non of theese happened. (Either the message will get posted to the list, or you will receive notification of the moderator's decision.) Interesting is the fact that my message was 12 kb, and with the entire SMTP protocol overead it reached 18 kb .... Anyway... I am using a wellgate ATA.
