Dear Callweaver Users,

Using callweaver RC5 with a Linksys PAP2T-NA ata on a PowerMac G4
dual processor 500MHz, 1.5GB RAM, gigabit enet.

Questions:

1. After some time the called party may hear some beeps. It has been
described as sounding like pushed dialing buttons (DTMF) tones. Any
thoughts about why that would happen? This happens either calling
some random phone number in POTS world or when i called the other
extension on the PAP2T.

2. After some time, the call can just be dropped. The most recent
time the called party heard noise before the call was dropped.

3. Do i have enough horsepower with the box i am using? PowerMac G4
dual processor 500MHz, 1.5GB RAM, gigabit enet. There is 1.2GB RAM
free when i check with "top".

4. I switched from a Grandstream HT-386 to the Linksys PAP2T so i
could get distinctive rings on the analog phones i am using for
various reasons. Is the PAP2T an acceptable unit for use with
CallWeaver? I have opened up the internal jitter butter in the ATA to
very large. Could the PAP2T be making the beeps and not CallWeaver?
Does anyone know of another ATA that does distinctive ring?

5. My LAN is gigabit enet. But i do not have any QOS set up. Do i
need to do this or can i get by without? CallWeaver is behind a
firewall router.

6. PAP2T does not support T38. If i use T38Gateway() on a fax
outgoing call that originates from the PAP2T, should that work?

Thank you for any help you may have for any of these questions. If i
should have done one email per question please let me know for next
time. I was trying to save email bandwidth in you boxes.

Peace,
Dan
