Hello ppl,
I am quite new to Callweaver. Hope to get better at this.
I am trying Callweaver predominantly for FAXing, for now.
For now, I have to only transmit faxes, so this is the set up I am using:
<tif file into callweaver spool> -> Callweaver -> T.38 provider(Gafachi) ->
final FAX.
Fairly simple.
I tried this set up with a US number and I got a PHASEESTATUS of 0. I haven't
been able to check if the fax indeed has reached US (I am in India).
I tried the same set up with a FAX (Xerox Workcentre 365C) in India . And I get
an error of PHASEESTATUS of 3 ("Timed out waiting for the first message"). The
FAX does ring over here, tries to Rx as well, but sometime I later get this on
Callweaver console. I am not sure what this first message is.
So, based on this :
1. Am I missing something ? for the time out issue?
2. I read the compatibility list on callweaver wiki. That is if you are
directly sending the FAX over t.38 to a FAX machine, whereas I am using a
gateway(Gafachi) to reach the FAX machine. I guess the FAX should work for any
country/ any model. As far as I think it's Gafachi's work to send the FAX to
the final destination? Am I correct?
3. Any other T.38 providers? Any numbers anyone?
