I believe the PTP450 is only capable of 20Mhz channels. The PTP450i is capable
of wider spectrum use. For the PTP450, the PPS limitation and CPU overhead
will limit actual throughput. We have a few that consistently run 100Mbps
aggregate, but rarely any more than that on 20MHz channel, even though Cambium
says should reach 125Mbps aggregate.

FWIW – the PTP450 cannot get GPS sync over the power port, so if your PTP230 is
using sync on power, it won’t work with the 450.

I believe that you can still get the PTP450 from most vendors.

Subject: [Cambium-users] PTP450 questions

Hey, didn't 14.x allow 40 mhz channels on the ptp radios as well? Spec sheets
are a bit out of date on this front.

What's the max "real world" throughput people see on these? Any chance 100x100
mbps realistic on 40 mhz channel at 8x?

Just trying to get a sense of what we can do.

Also, are the ptp450 (not "i") versions still for sale? Looking to bolt this
on a 24v solar site and don't want to muck around with power system stuff.
Hoping for drop in replacement for an old ptp230 link.

Cheers,

-Steve
