cows are consider holy in India, but have you seen the Indian Peta protest McDonald, Benihana? There is no wrong eating dog as there is no wrong in cows as long as you do not break any local laws.   Actually, dog meat provides good source of protein for the local.  I understand eating dog meat is not for everyone just as eating cow stomach.
