Prime Minister Hun Sen awarded medals to 22 Vietnamese soldiers,
ranging in rank from captain to colonel, in recognition of their role in
providing technical and military hardware support to Unit 70 of the Royal
Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), according to a document signed by the prime
minister and dated July 2008. The document, obtained by the Post, said the
medal is known as the sahametrei.
-----------------------------------------
Khmerization's comments: Unit 70 of the RCAF is Hun Sen's bodyguard
unit which is based at his Toul Krasaing Home in Takhmao. This has reinforced
the claims that he has always been protected by the Vietnamese army. During the
1997 coup, there were reports that some units of the Vietnamese army were
involved in some ways in the fighting.

Dear all,
Mr. Hun Sen has decorated Vietnamese troops serving with his bodyguard unit
at Toul Krasaing. This is yet another clear evidence that the Vietnamese troops
are still in Cambodia, 19 years after Vietnam claimed to have withdrawn all its
troops from Cambodia. For full article click below.
