Pls teach us more the Democracy a la Hanoi !!!!!!
  .......or U mean : " Hanoi's DEMON-CRACY ".

  Cheers,
  Bun H.

However, Republic of vietnam is a democracy since their leaders elected by
the people like the democratic countries like US, Canada.

thank x-rated cartoonist from down under for pointing out my typo. what I
meant, a Republic is not necessary democratically presents the people will as
Social Republic of Vietnam which are politbureo ruled communist country. Nor
does Democratic, the Khmer Rouge called themselves Democratic Kampuchea. There
is no thing democratic about the Khmer Rouge. Any ideology is very dangerous
if if it is implemented by extremists, hardliner etc. Case in point, right
wing dictators in Latin America, Central America. On the left, the Khmer
Rouge, the Maoist, Soviet Union, Red China. The example of extremists are the
people who want to rule the country absolutely without any critics. In the
US, we have people from the left and people from the right. Democrats are
center left, and the Republican are center right. Democrat policies are
progressive, believe in the government should step in to help the helpless, the
poor like providing universal healthcare, social security, protect the minority
rights, the right of undesirable, social justice for everyone. The Republican
policies are pro business, ironically are similiar to the CPP, government hand
off, less regulation on the environment: fully exploit all the natural
resources in the name of making money and economic growth, less tax, especially
those who make lots of money.

I would like to point out, there is no communism in Cambodia. the political
stripes of both the CPP and the oppositions are pro business, social
conservative, and right wing nationalistic. That is the nature of third world
politics. Both Hun Sen and Sam Rainsy claimed Singapore the role model for
Cambodia to follow, the one party rule probusiness state which the state has
tight control over the live of its people

It takes me a lot of tries to get the the truth out. That is why I
said the left's ideology is very dangerous for Cambodia.

              nonesense
In the US, capital D Democrat, and capital R Republican are the
member of the two major US political parties. It has nothing to do with the
founding of the US republic. The two parties were founded later. The US is
the constitutional republic which is also a democracy since its representive
bodies Executive and Legistrative are elected. The Khmer Rouge called them
Democratic Kampuchea, there was nothing democratic about the Khmer Rouge.
Social Republic of Vietnam, because they choose to call themself that way,
their leaders are king or queen. However, Republic of vietnam is a democracy
since their leaders elected by the people like the democratic countries like
US, Canada.

I applause you with a good writing of comparison between
Cambodia so called “Royal Government of Cambodia “and “the United States of
America ”

Here are a few points I’d like to add to your assessments
regarding the US constitution and her founding fathers. The reason that I am
adding is to clear any confusion among Cambodians people, where their
Politicians have been breaching without the facts and untrue of adding
“Democracy “to the U.S Constitution.

For clarification: U.S.A is not Democratic country, she
is a Republic Country. And Cambodia is also in the same situation, even though
the people are electing their leaders; but the country’s constitution is not
Democratic, she is Monarchy country.

The U.S A, as well as her 50 states in the union, there
is no such thing a single word of “Democracy “written any where in their
constitution. Why? Because the founding fathers were understood of the future
impacts, if the U.S. were a Democratic Country, the U.S will not near where she
is now.

In your assessments you stated that “the U.S constitution
practically restrict the
power of government and protect individuals' liberty”

The statement above is the Republic principle, where the
Republic promotes the individuals’ liberty, smaller government and restricts
the government from getting bigger and get into peoples’ life. Basically, The
Republic is rules by majority and rules by LAW, where Democratic the majority
rules, most of the time, they rules by majority of a group of people like
Communist Peoples’ Party, CPP.

                      Best Regards,

                      Savun
