I know that Vietnamese settlers will have profound effects on Khmer culture, society, politics, economy and Cambodian national interests--just like what happed to Khmer people in Kampuchea Krom and the people of Champa. Tonle Sap, Mekong River and other lakes where the Vietnamese are settling on currently are being destroyed. Millions of Cambodian people are feeling the effects of the Vietnamese settlers right now.
