The diplomatic corp is present and they know full well that Cambodia remains 
occupied by Vietnam due to close collaboration of the Khmer Kings ,father and 
son, with the Vietnamese invaders.
 
 
Vietnam to attend 63RD UN General Assembly session

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem 
will attend the 63rd UN General Assembly session from September 23-29, a local 
official told reporters Thursday.



Khiem is also scheduled to attend a session reviewing the implementation of the 
Millennium Development Goals, an informal ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting, and 
the 32nd Foreign Minister Meeting of Group 77 (G77) – a group of 77 developing 
countries, including Vietnam, China, Thailand and Brazil. 

On September 23, the Deputy PM Khiem will ring the bell to conclude trading on 
the NASDAQ, Le Hoai Trung, head of the Department of International 
Organizations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
In New York, Khiem will meet with country leaders, UN agencies, and US firms 
and organizations, aiming to boost cooperation with Vietnam.
At the UN General Assembly session, countries will focus their discussions on 
issues relating international security, anti-terrorism efforts, food security, 
energy, environment and trade liberalization.
