SALON OWNER BEATS UP MASSEUSEVoeun Vanna, 27, a beauty salon owner, was 
arrested for beating up Khorn Sopheak, 23, a masseuse, and locking her up in a 
room overnight, in Takhmao village, commune and district, Kandal province, on 
Monday. The police said Voeun Vanna smashed the woman's head against the wall 
and kicked her in the stomach after she asked to be paid for some extra work 
she did that day.  KAMPUCHEA THMEYWOMAN BEATEN UP AFTER PIPE DISPUTELy Sinuon, 
a 50-year-old woman who lives on Street 53, Phsa Thmey 1, Daun Penh district, 
Phnom Penh, was seriously injured on the head by her neighbours in her family 
home at 9:45pm Sunday. The perpetrators, Taing Lay, 78, Liev Eng, 66, and Taing 
Sivaiy, 34, who live on the floor above Ly Sinuon, attacked her after a dispute 
about who was going to pay US$50 for pipe repair in the building. The family 
were taken to Phsar Thmey 1 police station for questioning. KAMPUCHEA 
THMEYARM-WRESTLE TURNS UGLYKhem Savoeun, 25, was arrested for attacking his two 
friends with a knife following a drunken dispute in Taley village, Dangkor 
commune and district at 2:30pm Saturday. The police said that Khem Savoeun 
injured Un Leng, 28, and Yoeun Bun Thoeun, 27, following an argument about who 
had won an arm-wrestling match. Khem Savoeun has now been sent to court. KOH 
SANTEPHEAPWOMAN TRIES TO STEAL MOTORBIKEKhiev Srey, 27, was arrested after she 
tried to steal a moto parked outside Boeung Salang commune High School in Tuol 
Kork district in Phnom Penh Saturday. The police, who arrested the woman while 
she was walking the moto away from the school, have now returned the silver 
Suzuki Smash to its rightful owner, Em Yareth, a 36-year-old teacher. The 
police said the woman was walking the moto because she could not start it.  
RASMEY KAMPUCHEADRUNK MAN BEATS UP WIFESorn Puth, 40, was arrested after he 
beat up his wife Bou Sim, 42, with an ax in Ang Kror Lanh village, Chieng Torng 
commune, Ta Kao province at 1:50pm Friday. The police said Sorn Puth was 
intoxicated during the attack and Bou Sim, who was rendered unconscious during 
the incident, is now recovering in hospital.KOH SANTEPHEAP
