We are in the process of establishing "The Society of Khmer Naturalists (SOKNAS)". http://www.soknas.org/en/ Note: SOKNAS also means peaceful or very peaceful in Khmer The aim of the Society of Khmer Naturalists (SOKNAS) is to advance the science, education, technology, and practice of natural resources management; to enhance the competency of its members; to establish professional excellence; and, to use the knowledge, skills, and conservation ethic of the profession to ensure the continued health and use of natural resources and the present and future availability of naturatl resources to benefit Cambodian society. This is achieved by publishing The Khmer Naturalist and by holding an annual meeting (to be anounced) with a scientific program of symposia and contributed papers and posters.
