Anything said in foreign language- English for example- can be said in
Cambodian. If there is no such word in Cambodian, it should be
invented. But I think we have enough equivalency except new words like
AIDS, computer etc. that we do not have the translation for, but word
like logic, logical, potential, objective etc. can be said in
Cambodian. Without Keng Vansak, there are a lot more Cambodian
intellectual, like Dr. Khing Hok Dy, Yim Kech Se, Sam Vichea, and a
lot more, . I do not understand why Khmer people especially the
educated ones cannot get together and give up the using the
unnecessary foreign term at time of speaking Khmer. When they speak
Khmer they always sprinkle or substitute it with foreign vocabulary as
if we do not have the word for that. I think it is shameful for Khmer
who said they love and care about Khmer literature but when they talk
they use the foreign word. I notice that Thai always use their Thai
words. Thai even refuse to use the Christian year like year 2008 but
Buddhist year like year 2550 . I notice that anything of Khmer has
been changing a lot, most of it in the wrong direction- in talking ,
writing, cooking, thinking, believing, ,politic, and more.
