Dear all,

I'm the one who appreciate Reahu art and oeuvres and indeed I respect his
freedom as artist but I would ask him in return to respect our Apsara identity
and authenticity. Mr Heahu must be careful in his choice of model to represent
Khmer Apsara. He should stop to soil our Apsara with these models of chin yuon
or Siamese figures. In case he then wants to modernize or enlarge Apsara art,
it should be done at least with some reflections and respects for our
traditional Apsara.

Thank you

Bopha Angkor

Dera all, I praise Reahu for his beautiful art works...but I don't
understand why he needs to use this " Phkai Choar Siem " face on Khmer Absara?
Maybe someone here or the Artist himself can explain this? To me, this Phkai
Choar Siem don't have any value to share our Khmer Absara or Angkor's pride at
all.

          Dear All,

Artist Reahu has done it again. In 2008, he has caused a stir in
Cambodia with his many erotic and sensual bare-breasted drawings of Khmer
Apsaras (celestial dancers). Now he has caused a stir in Thailand with his
bare-breasted drawing of popular Thai actress, Ms Suwanan Kongying, known as
Pkay Preuk (Morning Star) in Cambodia. Suwanan had allegedly made comments that
Angkor Wat belong to Thailand which cause riots in Phnom Penh in 2003 which
culminated into the burning of the Thai embassy by angry protesters. Please
click below to read the article and see the drawing of Ms Suwana that caused a
stir in Thailand.
