To justify Vietnamese alliance, take a look for the past three regimes, SRN was an enemy of Yuon Khang Thbong, friend with Youn khang Cheung (North Vietnamese).The law of nature, south or north, Yuon is still Yuon. Khmer Republic was friend of Yuon khang Thbong (Saigon regime) and enemy of Yuon Khang Cheung (Yeakong, Thmil ), what was consequences? Democratic Kampuchea of Pol Pot was enemy of all Yuons (United Yuons),the result Yuons walked freely into the country without any major resistance. CPP/Hun Sen well understood the ramification of the past, he is convinced close alliance with Hanoi is the best policy to survive as nationhood, hostility against Yuons is a total destruction. He has to move the country forward, not waiting for public opinion from anybody to relitigate the past.
