If Thailand gets out of hand then they'll have to deal with Vietnam and Laos.
This has explosive potential which might have to be tempered by China and the

One
of my clients from Thailand has followed Cambodian/Thai
political situations closely. He is not fond of the new Thai
Prime minister and wish that Cambodian and Thai can be friends
like we are here in the U.S. He agrees that the Thai
government has their own political issues and is using Preah Vihear to
divert from domestic problems, but he also said that Cambodian politicians are
so stupid to fight each other over the words "strong legs". After
understanding what "strong legs" really meant in Khmer expressions, he shook
his
head.

From
his point of views he said that Hun Sen will come out as a winner, not so much
as to win over Mu Soc Hua, but being a winner as patriotism for trying to
rally Cambodians behind him to face off with Thailand, while
the Oppositions are trying to tear Hun Sen apart.

He
stated that the Thais are really happy to see Hun Sen being dehumanized as much
as possible, this will give the Thais the edge to deal with Cambodia over
the border issues and other issues as well.

He
claimed that looking from where he was; the Oppositions were seen to be
nothing but trouble makers. But, that what the Thai government wants-- a
divided
Cambodia.

I
didn't want to argue with the gentleman, but that's what I learned from him as
a
foreigner.

Interesting…

What
do you think?
