US Senator Jim Webb, a Democrat from Virginia, is on a two-week tour to five
Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, exploring opportunities to
advance US interests in the region, officials said.

The senator left on Sunday for a visit to Burma, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and
Cambodia, a statement from his office said.

The US Embassy in Phnom Penh was working on a schedule for Webb to meet with
Cambodians on a brief stopover here, officials said.

The senator’s visit was welcomed by Cambodians, who have seen relations with
the US improve steadily since the country withdrew aid in 1997. Most recently,
Cambodia was removed from a US list of countries considered Marxist-Leninist,
paving the way for more trade.

“The removal of Cambodia from the US trade blacklist is seen as helping
alleviate the living conditions of Cambodians, especially those who live below
the poverty line,” said Nguon Nhel, vice president of the National Assembly.
“This trade will bring in more investors and exchange of goods.”

Webb, a former soldier, defense planner, writer and business consultant, is the
chairman of the East Asia and Pacific Affairs Subcommittee, overseeing US
relations in the region and building relationship with organizations such as
Asean.

They Don't Trust You, Senator

BOOK " GIAI PHONG " by T Terzani.
It describes a Vietnamese as THIEF, A LIAR, A KILLER, A DECEIVER , a sleeper
......

RUSH: Claire McCaskill, Jefferson County, Missouri, at her town hall.

MCCASKILL: If anyone wants to bet you whether or not we're gonna get a
single-payer, nationalized health care bill out of Congress, take the bet and
take their money. 'Cause it is not going to happen.

AUDIENCE: (laughter)

MCCASKILL: I know you hate to hear good news. But we will not do this. There
is not any support, very little support. I shouldn't say "any." There are a
few members that think it's a good idea. So...

AUDIENCE: (laughter)

MCCASKILL: I don't understand this rudeness. What is this?

RUSH: Hang on here, folks. Hang on.

MCCASKILL: I don't get it! I honestly don't get it. Do you all think you're
persuading people when you shout out like that?

AUDIENCE: (roars and whistles)

MCCASKILL: Beg your pardon? You don't trust me?

AUDIENCE: Nooooooo!

RUSH: Senator McCaskill, let me tell you what your problem is. Your president
is on record as saying he wants a single-payer system. The house bill
guarantees it. So when you tell your participants at a town hall that it isn't
going to happen -- a single-payer national health care bill isn't going to
happen -- they're looking at you and they say, "Now, you're one of a hundred
senators, and the president of the United States says he wants it, and
everybody's out there, Barney Frank and others, being honest about it." They
think you're not honest. That's why when you ask them, "You don't trust me?"
They say, "Noooooooo!" Because they're not making anything up that they're
reading, Senator McCaskill, and they're not making anything up that they are
hearing. We prepared a little montage here on Senator McCaskill and you don't
get this rudeness?

MCCASKILL: I don't understand this rudeness.

HILLARY: (screeching) I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate
and you disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic, and we
should stand up and say, "WE ARE AMERICANS AND WE HAVE A RIGHT TO DEBATE AND
DISAGREE WITH ANY ADMINISTRATION!"

MCCASKILL: Do you all think that you're persuading people when you shout out
like that? I don't get it.

RUSH: See, it's fine and dandy for Mrs. Clinton to act like everybody's third
and fourth ex-wife. It's just fine and dandy for Mrs. Clinton to go act that
way. The libs and make you start throwing things, Molotov cocktails and all
that. Let these people show up and act like, "Mrs. McCaskill you're not
telling the truth because we can hear what your president is saying your
president wants single-payer health care." I'll tell you, all of you elected
officials are going to have to understand that you're dealing with people who
are more informed than you are on this issue and you can't fool 'em anymore.
You're not going to be able to bamboozle them.
