Assembly adopted a resolution A/RES/41/6, by vote of 116-21 with 13
abstentions, calling for a withdrawal of Vietnamese forces from
Cambodia.

Ambassador Presents Credentials to the King

Newly appointed New Zealand
Ambassador to Cambodia Mr. Bede Corry presented Monday at the Royal Palace his
credentials to His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.
The Cambodian monarch expressed his
satisfaction to the development of the ties of friendship and solidarity
between
Cambodia and New Zealand. He warmly welcomed the diplomatic mission of Mr. Bede
Corry in the country and he is convinced that through this mission the
bilateral
relations, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries will be further
strengthened.
The king also expressed profound
thanks to New Zealand for its support to Cambodia’s reconstruction.
On the same day, the newly appointed
New Zealand ambassador was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in
charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers H.E. Sok An.
During the meeting, H.E. Sok An told
Mr. Bede Corry of the country’s success in safeguarding and developing
sustainably the national heritage and the country’s good cooperation with the
International Coordination Committee (ICC) and UNESCO.
Both sides spoke highly of the
success of the community development project implemented by Cambodia’s APSARA
authority and New Zealand.
Mr. Bede Corry said his country will
continue to help train Cambodian human resource. --AKP
