Samanera Mam Sonando was leading a group of laymen and layladies along with couple Sanghas to travel to a remote Khmer pagoda at Wat Choup Koki, Srok Ampil, Oudor Meanchey . His application for Dhamayatra was denied once by Ministry of Religion Min Khin, later was approved. The monastery was built by Thai soldier during 1994, according to local villagers, and baptised as buddhist sanctury on the hill of borderline . When the Thai moved out the local people along with some authorities were looting and digging for gold and other vaued items left underneath of Vihara. The local authorities and villagers found some items like buhhda image implanting the picture of their king and some ritual wrapped bag containing blood. On the stage installing sitting Buddha image, one of them looks like Mam Sonando face . would that be possible when he (Sonando) became a Sangha tried to impersonate himself as Buddha ? As result of poverty and neglected by government, the local khmers were looting and digging for some value items, no matter where they are, temple, jungle or else.
