Take a break from politic .... and Imagine this!!! Spent a night with a rice farmer was the best thing I had ever done, a family I never knew yet I feel so close, the place I never been yet I feel so warmth. As the night fall, the dogs start to bark and every now again I can hear a cow flipping it tail and the smell of the burning hay. Across the other side, a young couple who kind enough to offer me a place to spent the night, giggled and sang a long a song which played from a distance village, the rhythm clear enough for you to sing a long, but from time to time it was inferred by the sound of the wind that blown against the near by fruit tree. It was the voice of Sinn Si samouth and Ros Sereysothear, the two famous Cambodian singers. I know a few words and humble along. Oh what a night!
photo by Samnang Kim Woke up with a few mosquito’s bites, aching from sleeping on bamboo bed, but I feel at peace, the feeling I haven’t had for a long time. Flesh morning air, dry fish and rice that left over for breakfast, I can’t ask for more. As I say goodbye, the couple just smile, they don’t say much but just smile. The gentle and sincere smile … the smile that I wouldn’t forget for a long time to come. Thank you for let me spent the night! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cambodia/220268812448?v=app_2347471856&ref=search -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cambodia Discussion (CAMDISC) - www.cambodia.org" group.
