Perhaps, the below information is true to the situation of Cambodia. The people of Cambodia need to look back at the root causes and then proceed to look at what they have been doing to redo.
My friend, Cambodians had done it to themselves. They destroy their own nation to ground zero. They killed their own people in millions in the name of an ideology. Don't just blame of Pol Pot. Don't blame on Vietnamese. Khmer Rouge Angkor and millions of its followers participated in the Khmer Rouge movement with/without the help of other nations. No foreigner had come to kill Cambodia. It was the Cambodian people who killed their own people in their own country. That is why Cambodia is struggling today. Don't tell us that it was caused by Vietnamese. Ofcourse the neigboring countries are trying to take advantage of the situation. We all can see the tention along the border with Thailand and Vietnam. However, Cambodians must understand that these border disputes ARE NOT black and white. Sam Rainsy and his cronies are trying to make it black and white without anything to support the claim. The words itself cannot be used to sustain a true border demarcation. Only the agreement and existed documents can resolve these disputes. The act of vengence like the one that Sam Rainsy did is not a part of the solution. Anyone can blame the current government of being pro Vitenamese etc.....But the fact is that Vietnam is a Cambodian neighbor. The border mark must exist. Year of civil war in Cambodia had wiped out onece was an established border. Today Cambodians and Vietnam and Thailand must talk and agree to a border demarkation. Have they done it? Ofcourse they have. Unfortunately, the opposition party still oppose. They will oppose to anything that the government has agreed upon because simply they oppose everything. Sam Rainsy has been doing everything to destroy his own government. He has no intention to unite his nation when iti's in need. Cambodia has not come out of its hole that they had dugged for themselves yet.
