My friend, Welcome to Cambodia. It is time to wake up. Corruption and impunity are still well and alive today in Cambodia. Get up and smell the rose. This is the core of this society. From one regime to another, they embrace these practices. The rich gets richer, while the poor gets poorer. That was why a small faction called Khmer Rouge could make their movement to victory in a short period of time against the most powerful military arsonals on earth. Rmember that. Khmer Rouge had nothing except AK 47 and a few bigger weapons against Lon Nol regime backed by the American government who had everything. Khmer Rouge won. Even then corruption and impunity were alive and well within the notorious tight control environment of the Khmer Rouge regime. It is the core value of the Cambodian society. Today, they are doing everything to please their valuable donors. Yet, they are refraining themvelves to go beyond that . Corruption and impunity are the core of the Cambodian society.
