The question is whether those people are Cambodians or not. The answer is very clear. They are Cambodian people. If you say that they destroy Cambodia, it means that Cambodians destroy their own country.
Today is a new day. Khmer Rouge era was over long time ago. Cambodians ought to learn from it. Every Cambodians should look back why there was so much anger in those who were put down by their own people. We are talking about the under class, the Cambodian peasants. They were the back bones of the Khmer Rouge movement. They were given opportunity to be higher than they had ever been in life. They had the opportunity to be someone instead of being suppressed by the upper class all the time. This is not a light subject that the Cambodian people should take. They are the main force, which destroyed Cambodia almost to ground zero. We are talking about the impunity that those people had endured for a very long time from one generation to another. Today, the people of Cambodia should consider abolishing the practice their culture of impunity. The rich should think about the poor, not to suppress for their own gain.The society will return to where it once was if this problem is not looked at. Please don't tell me that this group is better than that group etc....... Cambodian people should not even think about that today. Unity is the key to success. Equality is the name of the game, which leads to unity. Cambodia today deosnt't have it. Actually, they have returned to what they always have had in the past. One of these days, the second Khmer Rouge will return.
