It happens to be strange for you or some people perhaps but for me I don't mind
to have someone like Angela Jolie to be a Khmer heroin or symbol of Khmer as
long as she merits that title. Remember all our former builder's kings or
emperors of Khmer civilization were from divert origins in particularly from
indo-scythe or Khmer-indo-scythe origin.
Khmer culture is first of all a culture of diversity, of valor to which a Khmer
identified or attached to like respect, honestly, humanity, compassion and
courage. These valor are deeply marked Khmer gene, Khmer daily conducts that
it is difficult be something or someone else even with made efforts or
artifice. Of course I'm not talking about current Kxmer society/culture omi
dominated by yuons and yuon culture in extent and larger.
So, we are first of all Khmers by heart, by valor to which our culture and
humanity, left by our ancestors, attached to, not by skin color like other
culture like yuon for example. It is these Khmer valor and Khmer interests to
which a person attached to and tries to protect and preserve against all
opposite forces that a person merit to represent these valor or Khmer. Angela
Jolie makes me think to a former Khmer queen Prah Neang Nak (or Chinese call
liv-yi) because of her looks and generosity.
Although I strongly oppose to any symbol of Khmer valor to be represented by a
yuon origin, not because I something opposed to yuon or have something against
yuon but living with yuon, knowing and yuon history enough, I just cant
conceive that a yuon can bear these valor.
Let hope that Hollywood wont paint Khmer history to a color or a form that it
wants to or want to see but has some respect to history and people that made
world/Khmer history of that period.

thing, this is Hollywood. I hope no Khmer get upset like the Thais did when
Hollywood picked Chao Young Phat to star in a movie ( I forgot the title )
instead of picking a Thai star.
By the way, I hope Hollywood make this movie follow Khmer history
correctly without any distortion or change any part of Khmer history.
